Fannin County Children's Center
About This Campaign
During the Coronavirus crisis, generous donations to the Rainbow Room have given critical help to struggling families by providing gift cards for groceries, diapers, wipes, and other basic needs for our families.
In-kind donations of new clothing, shoes, diapers and other items are accepted any time the center is open, which is generally Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm. Cash donations are used to re-stock the room with the most needed items, purchase gas vouchers and pay for specific needs for kids.
We have two sites: a smaller room at the CPS office and a larger room at the Children’s Center. Both rooms are stocked with community donations and run by volunteers.
This project is a joint effort between the Child Welfare Board of Child Protective Services (CPS) and the Fannin County Children’s Center for the children served by CPS, CASA and/or Children’s Advocacy Center.
Campaign to Support Fannin County Childrens Center
The Fannin County Children’s Center has been serving abused and neglected children since 1993. Our mission is promoting safety and improving the lives of abused and neglected children. Our programs include CASA, Children’s Advocacy Center and child abuse prevention. CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates, recruits community volunteers to be advocates for children in foster care. The Children’s Advocacy Center facilities a multidisciplinary team of public and private agencies involved in the investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse.
